For instance, security patrols on regional trains play a significant role in making passengers feel at ease. And freight transport is only possible when the routes are kept secure. CIBORIUS monitors these often sensitive areas with the utmost vigilance and tact. A number of factors help us select the right security measures for public transport: prior analysis, our experienced teams trained beyond industry standards, certifications and strict quality management, state-of-the-art security technology, and our own emergency and service control centre.

A number of factors assist us in selecting the right security measures for public transport: firstly, of course, the prior security analysis, but also the experience of our teams, who are trained to a level beyond the industry standard. With certifications and strict quality management, we ensure that the standard of our work can be traced and checked at all times.
The value of our personnel can also be combined with state-of-the-art security technology – in the area of crowd screening, so that potentially dangerous persons can be monitored on video surveillance, but also for nocturnal guarding of bus and coach stations, freight stations, parking facilities, hangars and terminals, so swift action can be taken against vandalism and graffiti sprayers. In both cases, the CIBORIUS emergency and service control centre monitors, liaises and coordinates our interventions.

CIBORIUS employees are trained to a level beyond the industry standard
Well prepared for any mode of transport – our employees undergo training and instruction to ensure they are equipped to deal with any eventuality. This includes the security specialist examination according to §34a of German trade law, first aid training with a defibrillator, the fire protection and evacuation assistance certificate, de-escalation training and unarmed self-defence. In addition, our staff are trained to use self-defence equipment for specific purposes, including handcuffs, pepper spray and a telescopic baton.
Naturally, our ticket checking teams for local public transport undergo the tariff training courses of the transport company. And specifically for airports, CIBORIUS personnel are trained in accordance with the relevant sections of the German Aviation Security Act (§7 for security personnel, §5 for aviation security assistants, §8 and §9 for aviation security screeners).
CIBORIUS is also your trusted companion on the water. When it comes to maritime shipping, we have all the ports covered – including with armed units, if necessary. Besides cargo ships and tankers, our areas of operation include ferries, cruise ships, yachts and off-shore facilities. On land, we protect and screen the crew, suppliers and passengers, including their baggage. We also patrol the entire port area and guard docked ships. Our staff have the appropriate training: in addition to specialists for maritime security, CIBORIUS employs holders of the security specialist certificates according to §10 of the Law on Security Companies on Ocean-Going Vessels and §34a of German trade law. Of course, we have these certificates regularly checked by the Chamber of Industry and Commerce (IHK).
